The Family Planning Association of India (FPAI) is recognized as India’s leading NGO providing services in the area of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). It began its journey in 1949 and has completed seven decades of pioneering work in meeting reproductive health needs.
Project Coordinator: - 1 Post – (1- FFB)
Period: - September to December 2026 (joining immediately)
Eligibility: Person from virtual Net reach, HIV/STI/PrEP/ PEP Promotion, preference for MSM, TG,
FSW with Project management experience.
Experience: Minimum 2 year in the field of experience in Project Management/Programme
Management/ Team handling.
Salary: - Negotiable as per experience and previous salary drawn
RESPONSIBILITIES OF PROJECT COORDINATOR:
1. Over all Implementation of project in Local Operating locations through clinics and outreach activities including Planning, budgeting, recordkeeping, report writing.
2. Coordinate both Branch Clinic and Outreach programs with the extensive program visits at both the places.
3. Collaborate with mapped stakeholders including government bodies (ART, ICTC, NACO, RKSK) Mahila Mandals, NGOs, CBOs, youth groups for advocacy meetings and implementing project activities and learning materials.
4. Creation and sharing of print- and video advocacy and educational materials on oral PrEP with end users.
5. Capacity building of field coordinators, outreach workers and other community volunteers, stakeholders on HIV prevention methods-condoms, oral PrEP & PEP messaging. Develop skills on counselling on HIV risk assessment, HIV prevention methods, use of condoms during negotiation challenges and client on PEP linked to PrEP for continued protection.
6. Develop Partnerships with local community organizations, groups and networks and government agencies to generate demand for PrEP
7. Create evidence-based Testimonials/feedback/endorsements from community leaders, activists, early adopters and influencers on virtual and real platforms.
8. Planning Event-based outreach programmes for promoting oral PrEP at popular community events (e.g., World AIDS Day, LGBTQ+ pride marches)
9. Reach out to virtual dating platforms, LGBTQ+ groups, and social media handles of influencers and organizations for Improving awareness, increasing demand for oral PrEP and reducing stigma related to the use of products.
10. Use Internet-based messaging for reaching out various concerned groups through WhatsApp, FB Messenger etc.
11. Establish a formal referral system and ensure integration of PrEP and PEP into SRH & non-SRH services. Implement quality control measures in program implementation to ensure guarantee Quality assurance.
12. Refer and link potential clients of PrEP and PEP to SDPs and health sessions for enrollment. Follow up with clients on other health needs, side effects and refills of PrEP. Counsel on risk of HIV, address challenges of stigma, provide complete information on HIV prevention to ensure informed choices, benefits of PrEP due to adherence.
13. Prepare Monthly program reports and document case studies on unique initiatives, project implementation or high-risk client enrolment or adherence. Monthly reports and submissions to be done by 5th of every month.
14. Tracking the progress of all activities end ensuring the Branch targets- 60/100 PrEP clients are reached by December 2026. Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all M&E data, reports and related documentation.
15. PrEP and PEP Promotion: -
a) Promoting PrEP and PEP through virtual intervention and traditional methods
b) Coordinating with various stakeholders to promote and improve STI and HIV things
c) Interact encourage MSM, TG, FSW’s discordant couple, IDU’s to undergo HIV /STI testing and light risk people to opt for PEP/PrEP
16. Advocacy: -
a) Coordinate with stakeholders from Government Bodies, DAPCU, ICTC, ARTCS.
b) Coordinate with party organizers to promote the awareness around HIV and STI prevention.
