Position: MDO Accountant / Account Manager

The Mission Development Office - Central East India (MDO-CEI) of the Society of the Good Shepherd Sisters invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of MDO Accountant / Account Manager on an urgent basis.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the centralised financial management, accounting, budgeting, financial monitoring, reporting and compliance of MDO-CEI and its various projects and programme locations.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and financial records.
Manage project-wise and office-wise accounts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
Monitor project budgets and expenditure and prepare Budget vs. Actual reports.
Review vouchers, bills, supporting documents and financial claims from project sites.
Monitor advances, settlements, cash and bank transactions.
Conduct regular bank reconciliation and financial verification.
Assist in preparation and revision of project budgets.
Ensure proper financial documentation and internal controls.
Coordinate with project staff and support them in financial management.
Coordinate with auditors, Chartered Accountants and relevant authorities.
Support statutory and donor financial reporting and compliance.
Maintain financial records in an organised and audit-ready manner.
Ensure compliance with applicable financial and statutory requirements.
Provide timely financial information to MDO management and the Province leadership.
Qualification & Experience
B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience; experience in NGO/project accounting will be an advantage.
Good knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting and financial reporting.
Working knowledge of Tally/TallyPrime and MS Excel/Google Sheets.
Knowledge of TDS, GST, PF/ESI, income tax and other applicable statutory compliances.
Knowledge of FCRA and donor-funded project accounting will be an advantage.
Experience in managing accounts for multiple projects/sites will be preferred.

40,000/- per month
