Job Description
Bhittibhumi Seva Sangathan invites applications from suitable and experienced candidates for the position of Accountant at its Registered Office in Kuchinda, Sambalpur, Odisha.
The accountant will be responsible for maintaining proper books of accounts, financial records, supporting documentation and day-to-day accounting and financial management of the organisation/projects.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain day-to-day books of accounts and financial records.
• Record receipts, payments, vouchers and other financial transactions accurately.
• Maintain cash book, ledger, bank book and other accounting registers.
• Prepare bank reconciliation statements and support monthly financial closing.
• Verify bills, vouchers and supporting documents as per organisational policies.
• Maintain proper documentation of project expenditure and financial records.
• Assist in preparation of project-wise financial statements, utilisation statements and financial reports.
• Support preparation of budgets, expenditure statements and fund utilisation reports.
• Coordinate with programme and project teams for timely submission and verification of financial documents.
• Ensure proper filing and safe custody of financial records and supporting documents.
• Assist during internal/external audits and provide required financial documents.
• Coordinate with banks, vendors and other stakeholders on financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and organisational financial requirements.
• Undertake any other accounting and finance-related responsibilities assigned by the management.

Qualification & Experience
• Graduate in Commerce / Accounting / Finance or equivalent qualification.
• Candidates with 3–5 years or more relevant experience in NGO/development-sector accounting will be preferred.
• Experience in handling project accounts, fund utilisation, vouchers, financial reporting and audit documentation will be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Tally/accounting software and MS Excel is essential.
• Knowledge of NGO/project financial management and statutory compliance will be preferred.
• Candidates should have good numerical, documentation and organisational skills.
Salary
?20,000 – ?30,000 per month, depending on the candidate's qualification, relevant experience and organisational norms.
