About this Assignment
|
|
The Field Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating project activities at the field level, ensuring effective engagement with farmers, community members, local institutions and project stakeholders. The position will support implementation, monitoring, documentation and timely reporting of project activities in the assigned block.
Remain alert and responsive to any safeguarding risks; acquire and maintain the relevant knowledge and skills necessary to promote strong safeguarding practices; understand and adhere to ChildFund India’s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures; and conduct yourself at all times in a manner consistent with ChildFund India’s safeguarding principles and standards.

Required Experience and Education
|
|
Education: Bachelors in Agriculture, Rural Development, Social Work, Development Studies or a related field is preferred.
Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in community development, livelihoods, agriculture/agroforestry or rural development projects. Experience in working with farmers and rural communities is preferred.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in the local language and basic English is required.
Skills and Abilities: Good communication, facilitation and community mobilisation skills.
Ability to work extensively in rural/field locations. Basic computer skills, including MS Office and digital data collection.

Scope of Work
|
- Coordinate day-to-day implementation of project activities in the assigned block.
- Mobilize and engage farmers, community groups and other stakeholders for project activities.
- Support identification and selection of project beneficiaries in coordination with the project team.
- Facilitate farmer meetings, awareness programmes, training, demonstrations and field-level events.
- Support implementation of agroforestry, livelihood and related project interventions.
- Coordinate with Community Mobilisers and provide field-level guidance and support.
- Maintain regular field visits and monitor the progress and quality of project activities.
- Collect field-level data, beneficiary information, photographs and documentation as required.
- Maintain project records, registers and activity documentation.
- Identify field-level issues and support timely resolution in consultation with the Project Manager.
- Coordinate with local government departments, Panchayats, farmer groups and other relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to project monitoring, reporting, case studies and success stories.
- Ensure compliance with ChildFund India policies, safeguarding standards and project requirements.
- Perform other project-related responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensure timely implementation of project activities at the assigned field/block level.
- Coordinate and support community mobilisation, farmer identification and enrolment.
- Facilitate farmer meetings, FGDs, trainings, exposure visits and other community-level activities.
- Support establishment and monitoring of agroforestry and livelihood interventions as per project plans.
- Maintain updated records of farmers, households, field activities and project beneficiaries.
- Coordinate with Community Mobilisers, Project Manager, Agroforestry Expert and other project staff.
- Conduct regular field visits and monitor progress, quality and beneficiary participation.
- Support collection and verification of project data, success stories, photographs and documentation.
- Build effective linkages with Panchayats, government departments, technical agencies and other local stakeholders.
- Ensure timely reporting of field progress, challenges, risks and corrective actions to the Project Manage
- Promote community ownership and sustainability of project interventions.
