About this Assignment
|
|
The Community Mobiliser will support effective community engagement and implementation of agroforestry and livelihood interventions at the village level. The position will work closely with farmers, community groups, project staff and local stakeholders to ensure participation, inclusion and quality implementation.
Remain alert and responsive to any safeguarding risks; acquire and maintain the relevant knowledge and skills necessary to promote strong safeguarding practices; understand and adhere to ChildFund India’s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures; and conduct yourself at all times in a manner consistent with ChildFund India’s safeguarding principles and standards.

Required Experience and Education
|
|
Education: Diploma / technical training or Equivalent experience.
Work Experience: 2+ years of experience in community mobilisation, livelihoods, agriculture or rural development programmes. Experience working with farmers and community institutions is preferred.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in the local language is must.
Skills and Abilities: Basic computer and mobile-based data collection skills. Good communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
Others:Willingness to undertake extensive field travel.

Scope of Work
|
- A Mobilise farmers and community members and facilitate their participation in project activities.
- Support identification and engagement of project beneficiaries and formation/strengthening of farmer groups.
- Organise village meetings, awareness programmes, consultations, training and demonstrations.
- Facilitate implementation of agroforestry, livelihood and sustainable agriculture activities at community level.
- Support household surveys, Land registration, PRA, baseline/endline assessments and other field-level data collection.
- Facilitate linkages with government departments, technical agencies, financial institutions and markets.
- Conduct regular field visits and provide follow-up support to farmers and community groups.
- Maintain records of beneficiaries, meetings, activities and field-level progress.
- Collect field information, photographs and success stories for project documentation.
- Identify implementation challenges and provide timely feedback to the Project Officer/Project Manager.
- Ensure meaningful participation of women, vulnerable households and disadvantaged groups.
- Support monitoring, reporting and other project activities as assigned.
- Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
