ABOUT GSNP+
Gujarat State Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (GSNP+) is a community-based, non-profit organization formed by and for people living with HIV/AIDS. Based in Surat, GSNP+ brings together members from diverse socio-economic backgrounds and works to improve the quality of life, rights, dignity, and well-being of people living with HIV/AIDS.
The organization places people living with HIV/AIDS at the centre of decision-making processes affecting their lives. GSNP+ advocates for the rights and interests of people living with HIV/AIDS at the state level and works with district-level networks and community-based organizations to strengthen access to services, support systems, and community-led initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management & Sub-Grant Management
• Monitor financial management and ensure timely disbursement of funds to partner organizations, SSR NGOs, and district-level networks.
• Work closely with the Programme Manager and management team in developing budgets, work plans, financial reports, and expenditure plans.
• Monitor the financial performance of partner organizations, including expenditure and utilization under sub-grants.
• Review financial reports submitted by partner organizations and provide timely feedback and corrective guidance.
• Identify areas requiring financial and technical support and provide appropriate guidance to strengthen financial systems and controls.
• Support the establishment and use of computerized accounting systems at partner organizations, where required.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
• Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts for organizational and programme-related activities.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions in the computerized accounting system, including Tally.
• Prepare and maintain payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, journal vouchers, and other accounting records.
• Ensure that all financial transactions are supported by appropriate documentation and maintained systematically.
• Ensure timely processing and payment of approved requests to vendors, partner organizations, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and monitor the settlement of advances.
• Maintain proper records of cash receipts, payments, advances, and other financial transactions.
• Support preparation of periodic financial reports, budgets, expenditure statements, and management reports.

Compliance, Taxation & Internal Controls
• Ensure timely deduction and deposit of applicable statutory taxes and other government dues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, organizational policies, contractual requirements, and financial procedures.
• Review vouchers and supporting documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, authorization, and compliance.
• Regularly assess financial record-keeping and internal control systems of partner organizations.
• Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure systematic maintenance, filing, and secure storage of financial and supporting records.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure timely availability of required financial documents and explanations.

Other Responsibilities
• Work closely with the Programme and Management teams to ensure effective utilization of funds against approved budgets and planned activities.
• Prepare financial information and analysis required for management decision-making.
• Undertake travel to partner organizations and programme locations as required.
• Perform other responsibilities commensurate with the position and as assigned by the reporting manager or management of GSNP+.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably with an NGO, Trust, Society, or other non-profit organization.
• Candidates with relevant experience and demonstrated capabilities may be considered in accordance with the organization's recruitment policy.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, bank reconciliation, taxation, and internal controls.
• Good working knowledge of Tally and MS Office.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability and willingness to undertake travel as required.
• Good understanding of financial compliance, statutory requirements, and organizational financial procedures.
• Strong commitment to community development, inclusion, and rights-based approaches.
• Good documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

SALARY
Negotiable, based on the candidate's last CTC, qualifications, relevant experience, and organizational norms.
