DRR Technical Officer (Disaster Risk Reduction)

EKTA is inviting applications for the position of DRR Technical Officer under the INCLUDE Project. The role focuses on strengthening disability-inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), climate resilience, and community preparedness in vulnerable communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support planning, implementation, and monitoring of DRR interventions
- Develop community-based disaster preparedness and resilience strategies
- Promote disability inclusion and accessibility in DRR activities
- Coordinate with government departments, stakeholders, and humanitarian agencies
- Conduct risk assessments, trainings, monitoring, documentation, and reporting
- Support proposal development and donor coordination
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Disaster Management, Environmental Studies, or related fields
- Specialized training/certification in DRR, Climate Change Adaptation, or Humanitarian Response will be an added advantage
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in DRR, climate resilience, humanitarian response, or development programs
Skills Required:
- Strong coordination, reporting, analytical, and facilitation skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications
- Proficiency in Odia, English, and Hindi
Travel Requirement:
- Willingness to travel across project locations
