About the Role
MANT is hiring a Project Coordinator to lead and manage field-level implementation of agriculture and allied livelihood project. This is a leadership role that requires strong ownership of project delivery, team management, and systems adherence. The position goes beyond routine coordination—it demands rigorous project monitoring, accountability, structured reporting, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across programs.
Important Clarification on Role Scope
The incumbent will be responsible for a specific project; however, he/she will be expected to extend technical and operational support to similar projects across the organization as and when required, in line with MANT’s approach to cross-project collaboration and shared learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and monitor project activities in agriculture and allied sectors e.g. minor irrigation
- Ensure timely achievement of project milestones and deliverables
- Build and strengthen capacity of field teams and community stakeholders
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and flag deviations
- Prepare high-quality donor reports, progress updates, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with organizational systems, SOPs, and donor requirements
- Maintain accurate and timely data, reporting, and field records
- Facilitate convergence with government schemes, local institutions and technical agencies
- Identify risks, troubleshoot field-level challenges, and ensure course correction
- Manage team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and ensure a productive work environment
- Support organizational learning by contributing technical inputs across projects
Strict Compliance & Accountability
- Zero tolerance for delays in reporting or incomplete documentation
- Mandatory adherence to project timelines, budgets, and reporting standards
- Immediate escalation of field-level risks or deviations
- Role is organization-wide; limiting scope to one project is non-compliance
Eligibility Criteria
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Agriculture or related field (Horticulture, Forestry, Rural Development, Social Sciences etc.)
- B Tech/ M Tech with experience in Agri & allied sector especially NRM related project also can apply.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (NGO sector and livelihood / NRM experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of both farm and non -farm based livelihoods and field implementation
- Proven experience in team management and project coordination
- Experience in donor reporting, budgeting, and compliance
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to stay and work in rural project locations.
- Must have a valid Driving License and own motor cycle.
