About Assignment
The Proposal Writer supports the development of high-quality proposals, concept notes, donor reports, and case studies to secure funding. This includes synthesizing program ideas into compelling narratives aligned with donor expectations and organizational goals.
Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the safeguarding policy and procedures and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with ChildFund’s Safeguarding Policy.
Scope of Work
- Write grant proposals, EOIs, and concept notes in collaboration with program/technical teams.
- Draft donor reports, case studies, and pitch decks.
- Research donor priorities and tailor content accordingly.
- Edit and proofread proposals for clarity, logic, and formatting.
- Maintain a proposal content library and donor templates.
- Coordinate with designers and MEL teams for integrated content.
- Adapt proposals for CSR, institutional, and multilateral donors.
- Any other tasks may be assigned from time to time based on organizational requirement.
Required Experience and Education
- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Communications, Development, English, or related field.
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in proposal writing or development communications. Prior experience leading the writing for large funding/grants is a must
- Skills and Abilities: Strong storytelling, editing, and documentation skills. Excellent time management and self-driven attitude.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of CSR and FCRA-compliant formats. Familiarity with social themes (child rights, WASH, education, etc)
