Role: Program Manager (Fund Raising)
Job Summary
The Program Manager (Fund Raising) will be responsible for developing, building, implementing and managing the organisation’s fund-raising strategy. The role is focussed on building individual and institutional donor partnerships, ensuring sustainable revenue schemes, strengthen donor relationships and taking the organisations vision forward through effective fundraising campaigns and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Fundraising Strategy & Planning :
• Design and develop fund raising strategy and portfolio for the Justice Initiative.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive annual fundraising plan.
• Identify new fundraising opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
• Manage donor segmentation, targeting, and campaign strategies.
• Set fundraising targets and monitor progress through data and metrics.
2. Donor Acquisition & Relationship Management :
• Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, corporate CSR teams, institutional funders, and HNIs.
• Create donor engagement plans, regular communication, and stewardship activities.
• Develop donor proposals, concept notes, and presentations.
3. Grant Management :
• Identify local and national grant opportunities.
• Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including need assessment, proposal writing, budgeting, and submission.
• Ensure timely reporting and compliance for all grants received.
4. Corporate Partnerships & CSR :
• Engage corporates for CSR funding and long-term partnerships.
• Conduct meetings and presentations to showcase NGO programs and impact.
• Negotiate partnership terms and ensure alignment with CSR requirements.
5. Campaigns & Events :
• Plan and execute fundraising events, digital campaigns, and community drives.
• Collaborate with communications teams to create compelling content.
• Utilize social media, email marketing, and online fundraising platforms.
6. Data & Documentation :
• Maintain an updated donor database and track interactions.
• Prepare fundraising dashboards, MIS reports, and financial tracking.
• Ensure proper documentation, donor acknowledgments, and audit support.
7. Team Collaboration & Leadership :
• Coordinate with program teams to gather information, impact data, and success stories.
• Manage fundraising executives, interns, or volunteers (if applicable).
• Train staff on fundraising best practices and donor communication.
Qualifications & Experience :
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.
• 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, CSR partnership management, business development, or donor relations (depending on seniority).
• Proven track record in achieving fundraising targets and managing donor portfolios.
• Strong proposal writing and grant management experience.
