Project Overview
NLRIF will implement an innovative AI-powered integrated TB and NCD Active Case Finding (ACF) model supported by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. under the Tuberculosis Implementation Framework Agreement (TIFA) managed by the United States Department of State (DOS).
The project aims to:
• Screen ~18.7 lakh population
• Strengthen TB case detection through AI-enabled chest X-ray (HHX) and NAAT linkage
• Integrate screening for NCDs (Hypertension, Diabetes, Anaemia)
• Enable real-time monitoring, microplanning, and hotspot prediction using AI platforms
• Strengthen convergence between NTEP and NP-NCD systems
Position Summary
The Zonal Coordinator consultant will support implementation and field coordination of project activities across assigned districts under the guidance of the Project Manager Consultant. The position requires strong field management, coordination with district health systems, supervision of camp activities, and monitoring of screening performance indicators.
Note: - This project position is for a duration of 8 months. It may start from 1st July 2026.
1. Field Coordination & Implementation
Coordinate and support implementation of TB-NCD ACF activities across assigned districts, including screening camps, AI-enabled workflows, HHX utilization, and diagnostic linkage in coordination with district health teams.
2. Coordination with Government Health System
As a bridge between Project manager and District Teams, he/she will maintain regular coordination with DTOs, NTEP teams, Block Medical Officers, District NCD Cells, and frontline workers to support scheduling of ACF camps, micro-planning, review meetings, and program convergence.
3. Supervision & Team Support
Supervise district-level field teams, ensure timely reporting and target achievement, and provide supportive supervision and on-site mentoring.
4. Community Engagement & Mobilization
Support community mobilization through frontline workers, TB Champions, Panchayats, and local leaders to ensure active participation in screening activities.
5. Capacity building
Coordinate and support training sessions for Frontline Workers (FLWs), TB Champions, and other stakeholders to strengthen community-based TB-NCD screening and referral processes. Ensure stakeholders are oriented on project protocols, screening workflows, reporting mechanisms, and community engagement strategies for effective program implementation.
6. Monitoring & Reporting
Monitor key program indicators, validate field activities through documentation, and submit regular progress reports to the State Project Manager.
7. Quality Assurance
Ensure adherence to TB-NCD screening protocols, project SOPs, and reporting standards while identifying and addressing operational challenges.
8. Any other task assigned by the CEO
Required Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
• Graduate in Public Health / Life Sciences / Social Sciences / Health Management or related discipline
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in public health programs
• Experience in TB, NTEP, ACF, community health, or infectious disease programs
• Experience in field coordination and team supervision
• Willingness for extensive field travel across assigned districts
Desirable:
• Experience working with Government health systems/NHM
• Familiarity with Nikshay or digital reporting systems
• Experience in organizing screening camps or outreach activities
• Experience in Haryana or North Indian states preferred
