I. Introduction
Collectives for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives (CInI)?is a resource organization committed to improving the overall quality of life in rural and tribal regions across the Central India belt, spanning the states of Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. Established in 2007 as an associate organization of Tata Trusts, CInI has pioneered several scalable and impactful programs across key thematic areas—Livelihoods, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WaSH), Education, Sports, Primary Healthcare & Nutrition. Our initiatives are aligned with the?Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030?and have been recognised on national and international platforms.
CInI anchors its work in community institutions, women’s collectives, and frontline workers. In partnership with CSOs and State Governments, we leverage technology, and robust processes to deliver sustainable, scalable impact—powered by 300+ development professionals across implementation geographies.
II. Key Accountabilities
• Facilitate and strengthen community-led goat breeding and livestock development programmes.
• Support scientific breeding management to improve genetic quality, productivity, and resilience of local goat breeds.
• Conduct regular animal health assessments and support preventive healthcare and disease management practices.
• Train and mentor farmers, Pashu Sakhis, and community resource persons on breeding, feeding, healthcare, and climate-resilient livestock practices.
• Maintain breeding records, animal performance data, and programme documentation.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor livestock health, farmer adoption, and programme progress.
• Promote climate-resilient and sustainable livestock management practices.
• Facilitate market linkages and strengthen community institutions/FPOs engaged in livestock-based livelihoods.
• Coordinate with veterinary experts, research institutions, government departments, and other stakeholders for technical support and innovation.
• Prepare periodic reports, case studies, and programme documentation as required.
III. Eligibility and requirements
• Education: Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Animal Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience:
• 2–3 years of experience in livestock management and community-based livestock development programmes.
• Knowledge of animal genetics, breeding management, disease prevention, and livestock health systems.
• Experience in working with rural and tribal communities preferred.
Skills, Competencies and Experience:
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve programme objectives and deliverables.
• Strong community mobilization and farmer engagement skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Good organizational, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications for data management and reporting.
• Communication, training, and facilitation skills.
