Job Title: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

TSEWCT is a charitable and community-focused organization committed to serving society through various welfare, educational, religious, and empowerment initiatives. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Accountant to strengthen our Accounts & Finance Department and ensure efficient financial management, compliance, and reporting.
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring statutory compliance, supporting audits, and overseeing financial transactions across charitable, religious, and branch accounts. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in accounting systems and financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
• Record, verify, and reconcile all financial transactions.
• Manage journal entries, ledgers, cash books, bank books, and general accounting records.
• Ensure proper documentation of vouchers, receipts, invoices, and supporting records.

Financial Reporting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Generate MIS reports and financial analysis reports for management.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor departmental and project-wise expenditures against approved budgets.

Fund & Grant Management
• Track and monitor charitable funds, grants, donations, religious trust funds, and branch accounts.
• Ensure proper allocation and utilization of funds as per organizational policies.
• Maintain transparency and accountability in donor-funded projects.
Compliance & Audit
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory regulations, taxation requirements, and internal policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
• Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
• Maintain records required for regulatory inspections and reporting.

Accounts Receivable & Payable Management
• Monitor vendor payments, reimbursements, and fund disbursements.
• Verify invoices and supporting documents before payment processing.
• Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly.
• Ensure timely settlement of liabilities and receivables.

Banking & Reconciliation
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow and banking transactions.
• Coordinate with banks regarding account operations and financial documentation.

Internal Controls & Risk Management
• Implement and monitor internal financial controls.
• Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information.
• Support Financial Risk and Compliance Management.

Team Support
• Guide and mentor junior accountants and finance staff.
• Coordinate with departments for financial documentation and reporting.
• Assist the Finance Manager/HOD in strategic financial decision-making.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or Accounting.
• M.Com/MBA Finance preferred.
• Professional accounting certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience
• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
• Experience in NGO, Trust, Non-Profit Organization, Educational Institution, or Charitable Organization preferred.
• Experience handling audits, compliance, taxation, and fund accounting.

Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and Financial Reporting.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, Tally Prime, or similar accounting software.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Experience in budget management and reconciliation processes.

Salary
A competitive monthly salary ranging from ?30,000 to ?35,000 will be offered based on qualifications, experience, and overall suitability for the role.
