Synergie is looking for a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Manager who will lead organisation-wide monitoring and evaluation across projects. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in monitoring and evaluating public health or large-scale development programmes, with the ability to generate actionable insights that support programme improvement, impact measurement and donor reporting.
Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Develop and implement comprehensive Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) frameworks, logical frameworks and performance indicators for ongoing and upcoming projects, including designing data collection tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop and track KPIs and Logical Frameworks (LFAs) aligned with project goals and objectives.
• Lead data collection, validation, management and analysis processes to ensure data quality, integrity and timely reporting.
• Regularly conduct field visits to project sites to monitor activities, assess data quality and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Analyse programme data to identify trends, implementation gaps, outcomes and areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Prepare high-quality M&E reports, dashboards and presentations for internal teams, clients, donors and other stakeholders, highlighting programme achievements, learnings and challenges.
• Coordinate with external partners, consultants and donors to ensure alignment on M&E methodologies, reporting requirements and project deliverables.
• Support proposal development by contributing to monitoring frameworks, indicators and evaluation methodologies for new programmes.
• Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements, organisational M&E processes and data quality standards.
• Provide training and capacity building to project teams on M&E concepts, data collection techniques, reporting standards and tools.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, digital monitoring tools and emerging trends in monitoring, evaluation and impact measurement to continuously strengthen organisational systems.
Preferred Candidate Profile
• Strong expertise in quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis and interpretation.
• Proficiency in using digital data collection tools, M&E software and data visualisation platforms (such as Power BI, Excel dashboards or similar tools).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in conducting training and capacity building programmes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness.
• Ability to translate programme data into meaningful insights that support decision-making and programme improvement.
Qualifications
• Master's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, Impact Assessment or Programme Management within the development/CSR
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of reports, analyses and presentations for diverse stakeholders.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools will be an added advantage.
