Healthy Aging India is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of older adults through healthcare, psychosocial support, community engagement, advocacy, and active ageing initiatives. Through BSES Seniors’ Abode, the organization provides holistic residential care, healthcare services, recreational activities, and social support to senior citizens.
Position Summary
The Assistant Program Coordinator will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of day-to-day activities at BSES Seniors’ Abode. The role involves coordinating resident activities, maintaining documentation, supporting healthcare and volunteer programs, assisting with events, and ensuring smooth communication between staff, residents, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Operations:
* Assist in the daily coordination of activities and operations at BSES Seniors’ Abode.
* Support the implementation of the monthly activity calendar.
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of programs.
* Monitor day-to-day operational requirements and report issues to the Program Coordinator.
2. Resident Support:
* Assist in maintaining updated resident records and documentation.
* Support resident admissions, orientation, and routine follow-ups.
* Coordinate resident appointments, health camps, and recreational activities.
* Ensure residents’ concerns are documented and addressed promptly.
3. Activity & Volunteer Coordination:
* Coordinate cultural, recreational, educational, and wellness activities.
* Assist in managing volunteers, interns, and visiting groups.
* Support intergenerational engagement programs and awareness campaigns.
* Maintain attendance and activity records.
4. Documentation & Reporting:
* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
* Maintain attendance registers, activity logs, inventories, and program records.
* Assist in preparing presentations, newsletters, impact reports, and donor documentation.
* Support data collection for monitoring and evaluation.
5. Administrative Support:
* Coordinate procurement requests and inventory records.
* Assist in scheduling meetings and maintaining official documentation.
* Support housekeeping, maintenance, and logistics coordination.
* Ensure timely follow-up on operational requirements.
6. Stakeholder Coordination:
* Coordinate with doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists, consultants, and external service providers.
* Support visits by CSR partners, donors, volunteers, and government officials.
* Assist in maintaining positive relationships with families and community stakeholders.
7. Monitoring & Quality Assurance:
* Monitor implementation of daily activities and report progress.
* Support compliance with organizational policies, SOPs, and donor requirements.
* Identify operational challenges and recommend improvements.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
* Effective coordination of daily operations and resident activities.
* Timely execution of the monthly activity calendar.
* Accurate documentation and timely reporting.
* Efficient coordination of volunteers and external stakeholders.
* Proper maintenance of resident records and operational documentation.
* Compliance with organizational policies and quality standards.
* Support the successful implementation of CSR and community engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or any relevant discipline.
* Fresh graduates with relevant internships, volunteering experience, or prior NGO exposure are encouraged to apply.
Experience:
* 0–2 years of experience in NGOs, healthcare, CSR projects, community development, elder care, or social sector programs.
* Experience in event coordination, volunteer management, or project implementation will be an added advantage.
