Job Title: Programme Manager

Period of Consultancy: 1 year plus extension up to three years

Scope of Work:
This role will be responsible for the overall management and implementation of the River Restoration and Rejuvenation Program, with a particular focus on water management and ecological restoration.
Main Responsibilities:
1. End-to-end planning, coordination, management, and implementation of the program.
2. Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of 5–7 professionals from diverse backgrounds, including social development, engineering, environment, consulting, and paraprofessional expertise.
3. Oversee the overall day-to-day coordination and management of program activities.
4. Regularly review and monitor project progress, ensuring that all teams adhere to approved project guidelines, plans, and standards.
5. Liaise and coordinate with key stakeholders, including government authorities, NGOs, community organizations, consultants, and other relevant partners.
6. Conduct regular field visits to monitor project implementation, identify challenges, and ensure timely corrective actions. Prepare periodic progress and monitoring reports as required by the donor and head office.
7. Ensure that all project documentation and records are complete, up to date, properly maintained, and readily accessible through the online field office system.
8. Develop high-quality presentations (PPTs), reports, and other documentation for communication and engagement with various stakeholders.
9. Develop new project proposals and concept notes in areas such as water, environment, WASH, climate resilience, and related sectors for prospective donors.
Qualification and Experience:
• B.Sc. / M.Sc. / B.Tech. / MTech. in Environment or Civil Engineering
• Experience in development sector is desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Coordination with relevant stakeholders for effective implementation and delivery of projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Ability to work professionally and independently with minimal daily supervision. Strong communication and documentation skills. Desire to work dedicatedly to achieve results in the field of climate change.
• Knowledge of software's – MS office, Google Earth Pro, Adobe, GIS.
• Language skills – Should be proficient in English, Hindi and Marathi.
