ABOUT THE POSITION
AVN Trust is looking for a qualified, experienced and responsible Accountant to manage the organization's day-to-day accounting and financial record-keeping activities.
The selected candidate will maintain accurate financial records, prepare accounting documents and reports, support financial transactions, and ensure proper documentation and compliance related to organizational accounts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintain day-to-day books of accounts and financial records.
* Record income, expenditure, receipts, payments and other financial transactions.
* Prepare vouchers, bills, invoices and supporting financial documents.
* Maintain cash book, bank book, ledgers and other accounting records.
* Perform bank reconciliation and monitor bank transactions.
* Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
* Maintain proper documentation of organizational expenses and supporting bills/vouchers.
* Assist in preparing budgets, expenditure statements and utilization-related financial documents.
* Coordinate with management, staff and other departments on financial matters.
* Assist in audit preparation and provide required financial records and documents.
* Maintain organized physical and digital financial records.
* Ensure timely and accurate entry of accounting transactions.
* Support statutory and financial compliance requirements as applicable.
* Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* Graduate with a Commerce background from a recognized institution.
* Minimum 3–4 years of experience as an Accountant in any organization, institution, company, NGO or similar establishment.
* Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial record keeping.
* Good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and accounting-related software.
* Ability to maintain books of accounts and financial documentation accurately.
* Good numerical, analytical and organizational skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and organizational information.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
* Post Graduate in Commerce (M.Com) / MBA (Accounting/Finance) or equivalent qualification highly preferable.
* Practical experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit support and organizational financial management preferred.
