Position Overview: District Coordinator

BJUP is seeking a committed development professional to coordinate and implement a programme related to bonded labour, labour rights, rehabilitation and rights-based community development. The position will provide district-level coordination, supervise field implementation and facilitate convergence with government departments and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate implementation of project activities at the district level and monitor progress against work plans.
• Supervise and support field-level activities and programme staff.
• Liaise with District Administration, Labour Department, Police, DLSA, Social Welfare Department and other relevant institutions.
• Support identification, documentation and verification of potential bonded labour cases.
• Facilitate release, rehabilitation and linkage of affected individuals and families with government schemes and entitlements.
• Organise stakeholder meetings, awareness programmes and coordination events.
• Maintain district-level programme MIS, case records, activity documentation and reports.
• Conduct regular field monitoring and support timely follow-up of cases and beneficiaries.

Location: Patna, Bihar (1 Post)

Compensation: Rs. 22,000-Rs. 25,000 per month, depending upon experience, knowledge and suitability.

Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Rural Development, Development Studies or a related discipline preferred.
• Preferably 3-5 years of relevant experience in community development or rights-based programmes, including district-level coordination.
• Experience in bonded labour, labour rights, trafficking, migration, rehabilitation, social protection or government convergence will be preferred.
• Strong understanding of district administration, stakeholder liaison, field supervision and government systems.
• Good documentation, reporting, MIS management and communication skills.
• Ability to undertake frequent field travel and work closely with vulnerable communities and government stakeholders.
• Exceptional freshers/recent graduates from premier institutes such as TISS or equivalent institutions may also be considered based on demonstrated knowledge and aptitude.
