1. About the Organization
The Institute for Global Development (IGD) is a not-for-profit organization registered under Section 25 of the Companies Act. Established in 2008, IGD works in the areas of public health, with a focus on Maternal and Child Health & Nutrition, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Adolescent Health, Communicable Diseases, and Non-Communicable Diseases.
Nutrition is a core pillar of IGD's work and is integrated across several of its interventions. As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen awareness around anemia, nutrition and healthy practices, IGD intends to procure biscuits for distribution during project activities and community-level engagement.
IGD therefore invites quotations from eligible and experienced manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, FMCG agencies and vendors for the supply and delivery of biscuits to designated district headquarters across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka.
2. Objective of the RFQ
The objective of this RFQ is to identify a suitable vendor/agencies for the supply, packing and delivery of biscuits to designated district headquarters in 28 districts.
The selected vendor will be responsible for ensuring timely supply of biscuits in the required quantity and quality, as per the specifications and delivery schedule provided by IGD.
3. Scope of Supply
The selected vendor shall be responsible for:
- Supply of biscuits as per the quantity and specifications approved by IGD.
- Packing of biscuits appropriately to ensure safe transportation and storage.
- Delivery of biscuits to the designated District Headquarters.
- Ensuring that all supplied products are within their valid shelf life at the time of delivery.
- Providing invoices, delivery challans and other supporting documents along with each supply.
- Replacing any damaged, expired, opened or sub-standard products identified during delivery/verification.
- Coordinating with the IGD project team for district-wise delivery schedules and quantities.
- Ensuring timely completion of all deliveries as per the mutually agreed schedule.

Interested vendors/agencies are requested to submit their technical and financial quotation in soft copy by email. Vendors are encouraged to submit complete commercial and technical information to facilitate the evaluation process. PoSH Compliance All applicants/company/agencies/institutions, where applicable, are expected to comply with Government of India guidelines/policies relating to the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) at the Workplace. Applicants may be requested to provide information regarding the status of their Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), wherever applicable. The quantities mentioned in this RFQ are indicative estimates for procurement planning purposes. The final quantity, district-wise allocation, product specifications and delivery schedule will be communicated by IGD to the selected vendor. Issuance of this RFQ does not constitute a commitment by IGD to award a contract or purchase the entire estimated quantity. IGD shall not be legally bound by any award/selection communication until a formal agreement/work order is duly issued and/or signed, as applicable.
