Project : Clear Sight - Duration of project/up to 3 Years
Brief about Project: LEPRA Society will start implementation of Rural Eye Health Programme in three blocks of Rayagada district, Odisha, with the overall goal of “To reduce avoidable blindness and ensure continuity of care for vulnerable populations affected by vision impairment and blindness.” The project area includes three blocks namely, Bisam Cuttack, Muniguda and Kolnara of Rayagada district, Odisha.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Qualification & Experience required:
The Communication and MIS Officer will be responsible for overseeing district-level data management, monitoring systems, and strategic communications. The position will ensure accurate data collection, database management, and visual dashboard reporting to track project progress, while translating raw data into impactful success stories, donor reports, and digital media content. Working closely with field staff, project management, and external partners, the officer will maintain data integrity, document key achievements, and effectively communicate the project's overall impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage project MIS, data collection, validation, analysis and reporting.
• Track programme performance and prepare dashboards and management reports.
• Compile data on screening, referrals, surgeries, spectacles, Vision Centres, school eye health and outreach.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and donor reports.
• Ensure data quality and timely reporting from field teams.
• Maintain databases, trackers and project documentation.
• Develop success stories, case studies, photographs and other communication materials.
• Support newsletters, presentations, donor communications and project visibility.
• Provide MIS support/training and conduct field-level data verification.
• Ensure confidentiality, consent and data-protection standards.
Technical /Area of Expertise: The candidate should possess strong expertise in database management, data analytics, and digital data collection tools such as Kobo Toolbox, ODK, or Survey Monkey, along with proficiency in generating interactive visual dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Advanced Excel. Complementing this technical backbone is a proven background in strategic communications—specifically impact storytelling, report writing, content development, and basic graphic design (using Canva or Adobe Suite) to translate complex field data into clear, compelling narratives for diverse stakeholders. Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences or a related field.
Education qualification required: Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), Master of Social Sciences or a related field Work, with 3 years minimum experience.
Skills required:
Primary: Database Management & Analytics, Data Visualization & Dashboarding (Power BI/Tableau/Advanced Excel), Digital Data Collection Tools (Kobo Toolbox/ODK), Impact Storytelling & Report Writing, Data Validation & Quality Control.
Secondary: Basic Graphic Design & Layout (Canva/Adobe Suite), Digital & Social Media Content Creation, Field Team Training & Capacity Building, Stakeholder & Media Relations, Knowledge Management & Archiving
