Project : Clear Sight - Duration of project/up to 3 Years
Brief about Project: LEPRA Society will start implementation of Rural Eye Health Programme in three blocks of Rayagada district, Odisha, with the overall goal of “To reduce avoidable blindness and ensure continuity of care for vulnerable populations affected by vision impairment and blindness.” The project area includes three blocks namely, Bisam Cuttack, Muniguda and Kolnara of Rayagada district, Odisha.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
The Project Officer will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and coordination of project activities at the district level. The position will ensure effective implementation of project interventions through field supervision, stakeholder engagement, team coordination, capacity building, data management, documentation, and timely reporting. The Project Officer will work closely with government stakeholders, project staff, and partner teams to achieve project objectives and ensure quality implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities in accordance with approved project plans and timelines.
• Coordinate day-to-day project operations and provide technical and operational guidance to field teams.
• Supervise and support project staff, including field-level teams, and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
• Coordinate with government health systems, district/block-level stakeholders, and other partners for effective project implementation.
• Organize and facilitate trainings, orientations, and capacity-building sessions for project staff and frontline workers.
• Monitor field activities through regular visits, identify implementation gaps, and support corrective actions.
• Ensure quality data collection, validation, documentation, and timely updating of project databases.
• Support preparation of periodic project reports, including progress updates, activity reports, and donor/project documentation.
• Maintain effective communication and coordination between field teams and the head office.
• Support advocacy, networking, and convergence activities with relevant stakeholders.
• Document project learnings, best practices, challenges, and success stories for knowledge sharing.
Technical /Area of Expertise: Experience in planning and managing public health/community development projects. Understanding of project implementation, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. Experience in field team supervision, training facilitation, and community-based interventions. Knowledge of data management, documentation, and reporting systems. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Education qualification required: Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), Master of Social Work (MSW), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or equivalent qualification.
Skills required:

Secondary : Training facilitation, documentation, report writing, problem-solving skills,
