ABOUT SNEHA
SNEHA (Society for Nutrition, Education and Health Action) is a Mumbai-based non-profit organization working to improve the health, nutrition, and safety of women and children in vulnerable urban communities. Its key programs include Maternal and Child Health, Adolescent Health (EHSAS), Prevention of Violence against Women and Children, Public System Partnership, and Palliative Care.

Between 2016 and 2025, SNEHA directly reached over 620,555 people and indirectly impacted 3.63 million people across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Today, SNEHA is a 500+ member organization committed to strengthening community health and public systems.

ABOUT THE PSP PROJECT
The Public System Partnership (PSP) project aims to strengthen maternal referral systems across public healthcare facilities in Nashik district. It focuses on early identification of high-risk pregnancies, timely referrals, improved coordination between PHCs and higher health facilities, standardized documentation, and regular monitoring to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes.

POSITION: PROGRAM OFFICER

Location: Nashik

Reports to: Program Coordinator

Qualification: Graduate

Experience: Minimum 5 years in the social sector, preferably in public health and healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and monitor maternal referral activities across 17 health facilities in Igatpuri and Trimbak.
2. Strengthen referral communication and coordination between PHCs, rural hospitals, sub-district hospitals, and higher facilities.
3. Support healthcare staff training, mentoring, and quality improvement initiatives.
4. Maintain referral records, ensure accurate data entry in CommCare, and monitor data quality.
5. Coordinate with healthcare officials, nodal officers, and program stakeholders.
6. Conduct facility visits, identify implementation gaps, and follow up on corrective actions.
7. Prepare monthly reports, meeting minutes, case stories, and funder documentation.
8. Support referral reviews, data collection, and program reporting.
