Job Title: Social Coordinator

Chaitanya operates across 17 districts in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh, supporting women and rural communities.
Job Description
Chaitanya is looking for a Social Coordinator to support community-based programs focusing on women’s empowerment, legal awareness, and access to government schemes. The role involves working closely with women Self Help Groups (SHGs), community members, and local institutions to strengthen social support systems and improve outreach to vulnerable women.
This is a full-time on-site role.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Establish and monitor systems and processes to achieve project outcomes.
• Ensure quality implementation of project activities and outreach to vulnerable groups.
• Mobilize and coordinate SHGs and Connecting SHGs as per program processes.
• Maintain proper documentation and monthly reports of program activities.
• Coordinate with Police Stations, Sakhi Centre, DLSA, Protection Officers, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct gender awareness and capacity-building sessions for women and SHG members.
• Support beneficiaries in accessing government schemes and required documentation.
• Raise awareness about legal rights and entitlements among women at the block level.
• Help women understand laws and legal provisions relevant to them.
• Facilitate the formation of Internal Committees under the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act at school level.
• Build and maintain coordination with local institutions and organizations.
• Plan and organize joint programs at the village level with different stakeholders.
• Organize awareness programs at the block level on legal provisions and government schemes.
• Facilitate discussions with women on social issues based on their needs and concerns.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Rural Development, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in social development, community mobilization, or NGO projects.
• Experience working with women groups, SHGs, or community institutions.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work closely with community members and local stakeholders.
Salary
Rs 25,000 – Rs 30,000 per month (based on experience and skills).
