JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title: District Officer

Department: Programme Implementation

Based in location : Delhi

Project Implementation areas : 1 district (South East- Madanpur Khadar and Badrpur) in Delhi

Reporting to: Assistant Project Lead

Grade: B1

Travel: 100% in the field

Level of Contact With Children: 2 (Sporadic or occasional contact with children)

The position holder shall be responsible to adhere & work within the ambit of Plan India’s Safe Guarding of Children and Young People Policy & Gender Equality Policies

SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL JOB:

This position is responsible for the implementation of Project CCCD Bal Pratinidhi – Delhi which includes the implementation of project activities as per guidance of Assistant project lead Coordinator and state lead, rolling out field level activities, networking and linkages with key stakeholders, government departments and stakeholders at local level, timely utilisation of funds, achievement of project outputs and outcomes within the timelines defined in the project plan and submission of timely reports of the activities and monthly progress updates to project manager/lead.

KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The job holder will be responsible for implementation of project activities in close coordination with assistant project lead/state lead.
• Implementation of project activities such as awareness/orientation/training of parents, Anganwadi teachers, children and other stakeholders in target locations
• Facilitate program implementation team meeting at district level.
• Liasoning and linkages with various stakeholders and duty bearers at division/ district level.
• Information dissemination session with the families in the communities on awareness generation on government schemes/services, health, education, gender.
• Facilitate application process of eligible/interested individuals/families for availing the government schemes/services with Assistant project lead.
• Attend convergence meetings organized by government department at division/district level.
• Ensure timely utilisation of funds as per defined project timelines at district level.
• Maintain and update MIS/project tracker at district level.
• Preparation and submission of activity and project reports as per stipulated timelines.
• Documentation of case studies and best practices.
• Keeping record of assets and other centre/activity use items.
• Timely submission of bills to office.
• Adherence to all Plan India’s Policies during program implementation.
• Provide any other support required by the line manager and State lead and as per the requirements of the organisation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Any Graduate or Minimum 3 years of relevant experience of working preferably in Gender, Education or ECE and Menstrual health thematic areas.
• Proficient in local language – Hindi
• Experience in usage of computer/tablets for data collection and basic report preparation
• Passionate to work with children, protecting Child Rights.
