Position Role
The Community Mobiliser will be responsible for the community level actions in all villages of working block under the project. The Community Mobiliser will plan and implement the activities under the guidance of the Field Coordinator in line with the implementation plan of the program.
 
Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the safeguarding policy and procedures and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with ChildFund’s Safeguarding Policy.
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for implementing project activities as per the program plan for the assigned location/village/block.
  • Engage and mobilize children, youth, parents, community members, leaders, and frontline workers for a better outcome of the program.
  • Assist in the implementation of assessments and surveys as required.
  • Preparation of monthly action plan and progress report.
  • Support in liaison with relevant government department officials.
  • Undertake regular home visits.
  • Be responsible for reporting & documentation for all activities.
  • Participate in learning and review meetings.
  • Develop documents, and case studies and share the same with the field coordinator.
  • Any other responsibility as assigned by the Line Manager.
 
Required Experience and Education
  • Education: Diploma or technical training or equivalent in Development Studies or Social Sciences. Graduation is preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in community mobilization.
  • Skills and Abilities: Good communication skills (both verbal and written) in local language. Ability to communicate in local language (Kannada) is a must. Capacity building and training skills. Be an organized, team player, self-starter and results-oriented individual. Be gender sensitive with strong conviction and skills for the empowerment of excluded and disadvantaged children.
