About the Project
Sabuj Sangha, with support from L&T Finance, is implementing an Integrated Community Development Project in Purba Bardhaman district focusing on Digital Financial Literacy and Financial Inclusion, Water Sovereignty, Climate Smart Villages, livelihood enhancement, and community institution strengthening. The project aims to empower rural communities through sustainable development approaches, climate resilience, improved access to financial services, and community-led resource management.

Job Summary:

Sabuj Sangha is seeking a dynamic and experienced Programme Manager to lead and oversee the implementation of the L&T Finance supported Integrated Community Development Project across different blocks of Purba Bardhaman district. The Programme Manager will be responsible for overall project management, donor coordination, team supervision, monitoring, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring timely and quality implementation of project activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead overall planning, implementation, monitoring, and supervision of the Integrated Community Development Project.
• Coordinate implementation of project components including Financial Literacy & Inclusion, Water Sovereignty, Climate Smart Villages, and community development initiatives.
• Develop implementation plans, timelines, and monitoring frameworks for smooth project execution.
• Supervise and guide field teams, coordinators, and project staff across project locations.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of donor reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with government departments, financial institutions, PRI members, and community stakeholders.
• Monitor project budgets, fund utilization, and ensure compliance with donor and organizational guidelines.
• Facilitate community mobilization, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Conduct regular field visits, review meetings, and monitoring assessments to ensure quality implementation.
• Support documentation of success stories, case studies, and project learnings.
• Represent the organization in donor meetings, district-level coordination forums, and external engagements.
• Any other responsibilities assigned by the management related to programme implementation.

Eligibility Criteria:
• Master’s Degree in Social Work / Rural Development / Development Studies / Sociology / Management or any relevant discipline from a recognized university.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in development sector projects, preferably in rural/community development programmes.
• At least 4–5 years of experience in managing large-scale donor-funded projects.
• Experience in livelihood promotion, climate resilience, financial inclusion, WASH, or community development programmes will be preferred.
• Strong leadership, team management, coordination, and communication skills.
• Experience in donor reporting, project planning, monitoring, and stakeholder management.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, reporting tools, and project documentation.
• Ability to travel extensively within project locations.
