YRGMERF is anticipating a project to strengthen the Urban Ecosystem Against Future Disease Threats by implementing a framework for urban-peri-urban coordination. This project if commissioned will require a team of below positions to support the coordination, implementation and monitoring of several components.
Key Responsibilities
The Program Associate will be responsible for supporting the project activities in coordination with stakeholders. Will report to City Coordinator based in Jaipur. Will work closely with other team members.
Project Implementation Support
- Will be responsible to ensure that the staff are in the project are oriented on their duties and provided necessary guidance to carry out day to day tasks, reporting in designated formats.
- Ensures that the baseline using secondary sources is completed on time and the report is prepared,
- Regularly uses the tracker both in the field and while preparing the report to ensure that the monthly activity deliverables are in progress.
- Flags delays or performance lags in consultation with the city coordinator and project lead to prepare an action plan, so that the team is able to improve on their performance.
- Ensures timely preparation of reports, documents and technical briefs in consultation with the donor and stakeholders.
- Works closely with the subject experts to ensure that the secondary sources of data are relevant for planning and designing interventions. How those secondary sources of data can be used for projections about future disease outbreaks or patterns.
- Ensures field visit reports are compiled in a timely manner and shared with city coordinator and project lead for review, final submission and archiving is the key responsibility.
- Ensures that the review meetings, stakeholder meetings and on-line discussions are reported and reviewed for final sharing.
- Supports in field documentation, testimonial videos and other documentation related work by planning them in advance, ensuring the plan is consulted with the stakeholders and donor. Supports in procurement, monitoring of the deliverables and timely completion.
- Supports in preparing monthly and quarterly workplan in coordination with field team, ensures monitoring the progress and regular weekly updates with the State and National team.
- Ensures preparation of required documents for submission to the stakeholders and donor.
- Conducts field visit to observe field operations first-hand, interact with local stakeholders
- Ensures that all project activities comply with YRGMERF’s organisational policies on ethics, safeguarding, data protection, and financial management
Reporting and Documentation
- Ensures that the data quality checks are performed during field visits and the gaps are discussed with the team, subject experts.
- Progress monitoring and documentation of the activities for the submission to donor and stakeholders is a key responsibility of this position.
- Ensures that the innovation and best practices framework is prepared and discussed with the donor. Staff are oriented on these frameworks so that they can document and share for review at the State and National level. Targets for these will be worked out with the team.
- Ensures that the various deliverables of the project is shared with the relevant team members and subject experts well in time and those are finally reviewed at State and National level before submitted to the donor.
- Participates in field visits, for this if required supports in preparation of various tools that captures the project essence beyond data and figures.
Additional Duties
Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor in support of project objectives.
Requirements
Desirable Attributes
- Good understanding of the work related to disease surveillance, One Health Activities
- Ability to learn fast and work with senior and experienced subject experts
- Knowledge of latest tools for designing case studies, testimonial videos, other AV products
- Understanding of Rajasthan Health Systems is must
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and manage time for multiple tasks
Qualifications and Experience
Masters in Social Studies, or Population Studies with minimum 3 years' experience in managing documentation, project management in Rajasthan under NUHM, Urban Health, Disease Surveillance, One Health Activities, National Vector Borne Control Program.
