Position: Paryavaran Youth Leader
Number of Positions – 25
Location – Across project districts in Uttar Pradesh – Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Varanasi, Ghazipur and Bhadohi district.
Monthly Remuneration – Up to Rs 12,000 per month

Position Overview
The Paryavaran Youth Leader will serve as the frontline facilitator and change agent responsible for implementing school-based environmental awareness and behaviour change interventions. The role involves delivering intensive 2-day high-energy campaigns, engaging students and teachers through interactive activities, and promoting sustainable environmental practices within schools and communities.

Educational Qualification
Minimum Graduate in any discipline.
Experience
• 0–1 year of relevant experience.
• Freshers with strong communication and facilitation skills are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience in youth engagement, teaching, community mobilization, awareness campaigns, volunteering, NSS, NYKS, Eco Clubs, environmental programmes, or NGO projects will be preferred.

• Willingness to travel extensively to schools and communities.
Preferred Candidate Profile

• Teaching or educational activities
• Awareness campaigns

• Youth leadership initiatives
• Environmental programmes
Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate and deliver intensive 2-day behaviour change interventions in assigned schools.
• Conduct interactive learning sessions, environmental awareness activities, games, demonstrations, and group exercises.
• Engage students, teachers, and school management in campaign activities and environmental action initiatives.
• Promote key campaign messages related to environmental conservation, sustainable practices, and responsible citizenship.
• Facilitate school-level commitments, pledges, and environmental action plans to encourage long-term behavioural change.
• Mobilize students and teachers for active participation in programme activities.
• Facilitate experiential learning activities using campaign toolkits, IEC materials, and participatory methodologies.
• Support school assemblies, wall art activities, awareness drives, and special campaign events.
• Maintain attendance records, activity registers, and programme documentation.
• Collect feedback from participants and report field observations to Paryavaran Mentors.
• Ensure proper use and safeguarding of campaign materials and resources.
• Coordinate with school authorities to ensure smooth implementation of planned interventions.
• Capture photographs, success stories, and evidence of programme activities for reporting purposes.
• Identify challenges during implementation and seek timely support from Paryavaran Mentors.
• Promote environmental stewardship and motivate students to adopt and advocate positive environmental practices within their schools and communities.
• Support monitoring, evaluation, and data collection activities as required by the programme.
• Ensure high-energy, engaging, and inclusive delivery of all campaign activities while maintaining programme quality standards.
