Remuneration: INR 18,000 – INR 20,000 per month (Negotiable depending on experience)

About KMWSC
Registered in June 2014 under the West Bengal Societies’ Registration Act 1961 as a not-for-profit organization, KMWSC implements multiple projects across various thematic areas aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in West Bengal and Nawada District, Bihar.

Key Responsibilities & Core Pillars
1. Mental Health & Trauma-Informed Care (Field-Based)
• Conduct regular, trauma-informed individual counselling sessions for adolescents facing complex trauma, social stigma, and high-stress environments across project field sites.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and psychological first aid for beneficiaries facing abuse, domestic violence, or protection emergencies.
• Facilitate peer support and psychoeducation groups to address identity, emotional regulation, boundary setting, and resilience.
• Deliver context-specific harm reduction counselling regarding substance exposure and protection risks prevalent in the target communities.
2. Holistic Development & Life Skills Integration
• Design and execute interactive workshops on essential life skills (self-esteem, assertiveness, digital safety, and emotional health).
• Provide stigma-free, age-appropriate counselling on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), consent, and protective health practices.
• Conduct family/guardian sensitization sessions to build a protective and supportive home environment for the adolescent's growth.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Coordinator to align mental health interventions with the adolescent’s educational or vocational milestones.
3. Documentation, Case Management & Compliance
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and highly confidential individual case files (intake, progress tracking, and closing notes).
• Ensure strict compliance with data security protocols, ensuring physical and digital records are safely secured.
• Prepare systematic, anonymized monthly and quarterly qualitative progress reports for organizational review and donor compliance.

Eligibility Criteria & Key Skills
• Education:
o Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Master’s Degree in Psychology or Certificate Course in Psychology/Counselling.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical, field, or community-based counselling (experience with high-risk groups, child protection, or NGOs is a strong advantage).
• Language & Communication: Fluency in Bengali and Hindi (both spoken and written) is crucial for field integration. Ability to document in English is required.
• Key Traits: High emotional intelligence, deep cultural sensitivity, mobility, and an unwavering commitment to child protection and rights-based development.
