Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager with 6–7 years of experience in the NGO/development sector. The candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with statutory and donor requirements, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate accounting records. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of NGO accounting practices, budgeting, audits, and financial management.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the organization.
• Maintain books of accounts, ledgers, vouchers, and financial records in accordance with accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, ensuring proper utilization of funds.
• Handle grant and donor fund accounting, including financial reporting as per donor guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including TDS, GST, PF, ESI, Income Tax, and other applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate internal and statutory audits.
• Manage bank reconciliations, cash flow, and fund management.
• Process payments, vendor management, and payroll-related accounting activities.
• Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Support project teams in budget preparation, financial planning, and fund utilization tracking.
• Ensure timely submission of financial reports to management, donors, and regulatory authorities.
Required Qualifications
• MBA (Finance), M. Com, or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 6–7 years of relevant experience in finance and accounts, preferably in the NGO/development sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in donor-funded project accounting and reporting.
• Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and team management abilities.
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of FCRA, CSR fund management, and NGO regulatory compliance.
• Experience in budget preparation, grant management, and financial forecasting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Salary: 60,000 to 70,000 per month only
