Essential Qualifications
1. Education
Postgraduate degree in Public Health Engineering, Water Resource Management, Hydrology, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Ph.D is desirable.
2. Experience
i.) Minimum 8–10 years of relevant professional experience in the water and/ or WASH sector.
ii.) Demonstrated experience in policy research, programme implementation, experience of leading a diverse team, and engagement with government and parastatal organisations.
Key Responsibilities / Scope of Work
i.) Lead research and implementation of programmes related to WASH, IWRM, water security, and water governance.
ii.) Provide leadership to the WASH, Water Resource Management & Governance team and ensure high-quality policy research and programme implementation.
iii.) Develop research design, field studies, data analysis, and quality assurance for projects.
iv.) Develop project proposals, frameworks, and funding strategies.
v.) Build and manage partnerships with government departments, research institutions, NGOs, and donors.
vi.) Support evidence-based policy engagement at state and national levels.
Required Skills for Potential Candidates
i.) Strong analytical and writing skills.
ii.) Deep understanding of issues related to water governance, WASH, public service deliver, utilities, IWRM, hydrology and water economics in India.
iii.) Proven leadership and multi-project management capabilities.
iv.) Experience in proposal development and resource mobilisation.
v.) Ability to work independently in a mission-mode, inter-disciplinary environment.
