District Programme Coordinator, REACH

REACH is a non-profit organisation working on Tuberculosis and Non-Communicable Diseases, headquartered in Chennai. Established in 1999, REACH is currently implementing multiple projects across the country.
REACH is looking to recruit a District programme coordinator to provide programme implementation support for project named- TIFA – expansion of TPT in private sector that REACH is implementing in 3 districts of Tamil Nadu and Delhi. The ideal candidate is a Bachelor degree with / without MPH/MSW with at least 1 year of experience ,who is looking for an opportunity to gain experience in implementation, programme management, use of digital tools, state programme managers, private sector ,professional medical associations, M&E etc.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Coordination with District health officials, and the TB programme stakeholders at state/district/sub-district level for smooth functioning of all project activities.
- Undertake mapping of high load providers and other providers of importance to project .
- Facilitate establishment of TPT clinics in private sector.
- Undertake mapping of labs to facilitate linkage for screening by x-ray and /or testing for TB infection.
- Undertake regular visits to private providers and expand uptake of TB preventive uptake in private sector.
- Establishing supply chain management systems for drugs and consumables ,which ensures smooth functioning of project at private facilities.
- Coordination with Professional medical association such as IAP, IMA, FOGSI, Respiratory society etc and brief about project and gain support for its expansion in private sector.
- Facilitate preparatory activities for training/sensitisation/one -to one sensitisation of private providers on project and TPT updates
- Conduct capacity building sessions for project staff as per need of programme
- Conduct regular meeting with district teams and review progress of project and support as per needs of project
- Undertake regular visits to various health facilities and TPT clinics for supportive supervision of teams .
- Ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of all project activities and its submission as per timelines.
- Representing REACH at district-level and other meetings as assigned
- Any other responsibilities assigned by organisation.
Qualifications, Experience and competencies required:
- The ideal candidate is a Bachelor degree with /without MPH/MSW with at least 1year of experience.
- Experience in working on TB and /or private sector would be an advantage
- Exemplary analytical, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
- Excellent skills in MS Office, online reporting tools- KoBo toolbox, epi-collect,Redcap and other relevant software
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy with all sensitive issues and special situations.
- Excellent team manager
- High ethical standards and transparent working style
- Ability to read and write fluently in local language and English
- Willingness to travel extensively within district ( upto 20 days a month )
