About the project:
With the support of The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (GFATM) and guidance from the Central TB Division, will be implementing; (a) Integrated Pediatric TB care services in both the public and private health sectors to increase pediatric TB case detection and improve treatment outcomes, and (b) Active Case Finding (ACF) for early detection of missing TB cases among key and vulnerable populations, using innovative AI-enabled portable X-ray devices. The project will be carried out through Sub-Recipient (SR) partners in the states of Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh.
MAMTA HIMC has been selected as a Sub Recipient to SAATHII for implementing the (a) Integrated Pediatric TB care services in both the public and private health sectors to increase pediatric TB case detection and improve treatment outcomes, and (b) Active Case Finding (ACF) for early detection of missing TB cases among key and vulnerable populations, using innovative AI-enabled portable X-ray devices in selected districts of Rajasthan
MAMTA HIMC seeks Community Mobiliser (ACF-TB) based at district headquarter of Nagaur, Bikaner, Bhilwara and Kota to support pre-camp community mobilisation of high-risk KVP, including children; post-camp follow-up for sample collection; and tracking of cases requiring hospital visits for clinical diagnosis of TB or non-TB conditions, thereby ensuring completion of the screening-to-diagnosis cascade and improving the overall quality and effectiveness of camps.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and frontline workers and map the list of “Key Vulnerable Population” for pre-camp mobilisation.
• Visit and conduct pre-camp mobilisation in the community, especially focusing on the key vulnerable population, including raising awareness on health screening.
• On camp day, assist the District ACF coordinator and X-ray technician in the effective conduct of the camp and KVP mobilisation in the camp, and support in sample collection and transportation from the campsite to the nearest TB testing centre.
• Post-camp, prepare the list of attendees who are eligible for sample collection (Symptomatic and X-ray abnormal) and, in coordination with frontline workers, ensure sample collection and transportation from all those eligible, within 3-5 days of camp.
• Coordinate with the lab and update all sample results with the district ACF coordinator.
• Mobilise all the camp attendees with abnormal CXR results whose samples tested negative and ensure they visit the nearby healthcare facility for clinical evaluation.
• Assist the District ACF coordinator in KVP mapping and data documentation of the camp.
• Coordinate with the block-level healthcare providers and assist the district ACF coordinator for camp planning in high-risk villages and other settings.
• Support and ensure timely treatment initiation of all TB diagnosed and TB Preventive Therapy for all those eligible and conduct counselling sessions with each patient in the early treatment period.
• Support in linkage of TB patients to Ni-Kshay Poshan Yojana.
• Undertake any other activities and responsibilities as reasonably required by the project and organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Candidate should be 18 years and above, 10th or 12th pass (able to read and write) / Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Arts/Science/Commerce/Health Science/Community Nursing or GNM.
• At least 1 year of experience in community outreach, health education, or a similar role, preferably within TB or infectious disease programs.
• Should have hands-on experience in handling electronic devices like tablets and laptops and be familiar with any data entry tools.
• Willing to document and report as per the project requirements.
• Willing to travel, around 20 days, extensively in the districts.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment.
• Excellent oral, reading and written communication skills in the local language and additional knowledge of the English language will be an advantage.
• People who work as a TB champion, or My Bharat volunteer, will be given preferences if they fit under the other mentioned criteria.
• Preference will be given to candidate who has two-wheeler with a valid driving licence.
Compensation shall be provided as per budget of Rs 18,000/month.
