Role Overview
The Manager / Sr. Manager – Community Engagement & Livelihoods will lead community mobilization, institution building and livelihood development initiatives across LBF locations. The role will focus on strengthening artisan communities, Self Help Groups (SHGs), producer groups and community enterprises as pathways towards sustainable livelihoods.

The incumbent will work closely with SHG’s, women’s producer groups and artisan clusters while building community ownership, institutional capacity and long-term economic resilience. The role will support engagement with artisan communities, strengthen enterprise pathways, facilitate partnerships and ensure effective program delivery and impact.

ROLE PURPOSE / ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Engagement & Mobilisation
• Build strong relationships with communities across project locations.
• Lead community mobilisation efforts and strengthen community participation.
• Facilitate community meetings, consultations and participatory planning processes.
• Identify and nurture community leaders and local champions.
• Promote inclusion and community ownership across programmes.
SHG & Community Institution Strengthening
• Support formation, nurturing and strengthening of Self Help Groups (SHGs).
• Facilitate governance systems, leadership development and financial literacy.
• Enable SHGs to become sustainable community institutions.
• Support convergence with government schemes and ecosystem partners.
Livelihoods & Enterprise Pathways
• Develop pathways for SHGs to progress into producer groups, artisan collectives and community enterprises.
• Strengthen producer groups through institutional development and capacity building.
• Support enterprise development through business planning and market readiness.
• Facilitate access to finance, technical support and growth opportunities.
Artisan Producer Group Development
• Work closely with artisan groups producing for Nila
• Strengthen leadership, governance, production planning and operational systems.
• Support quality improvement, capacity enhancement and sustainability of producer groups.
• Coordinate with production, design and technical teams to address capability gaps.
Partnerships, Monitoring & Sustainability
• Build relationships with NRLM, government departments, financial institutions and ecosystem partners.
• Ensure effective monitoring, documentation and reporting of programme outcomes.
• Support impact measurement, learning and continuous improvement.
• Develop sustainability frameworks and long-term institutional strengthening plans.

Language Fluency
• Fluent in Hindi and English (spoken and written).
