Position: Field Assistant-cum-Community Coordinator

Nature of Engagement :Purely Contractual Basis (Initially for One Year, extendable based on satisfactory performance, institutional requirements and availability of funds)

Monthly Emoluments:Consolidated Honorarium: 10,000/- per month plus conveyance reimbursement as per approved institutional norms.

Age Limit :Maximum 45 years as on the last date of submission of applications.

Essential Eligibility Criteria
1. Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University. Preference shall be given to candidates having qualifications in Social Work, Rural Development, Community Development, Livelihood Promotion or allied disciplines.

2. Candidate should possess experience in community mobilization, surveys, skill development activities, rural development programmes, SHG promotion or social sector interventions. Experience in the Skill Development Sector shall be preferred.

3. Candidate must possess a valid Two-Wheeler Driving Licence and should own a personal two-wheeler for undertaking extensive field visits.

4. Proficiency in Odia & English Language (Reading, Writing and Speaking) is compulsory.

5. Preference shall be given to candidates belonging to Khurda District or nearby areas of Odisha.

6. Female candidates shall be considered equally eligible and are encouraged to apply.

7. Candidate should possess basic computer knowledge, possess a smartphone, internet applications, digital attendance systems, online data entry and documentation.

Desirable Qualifications:
1. Experience in beneficiary mobilization under Skill India initiatives, livelihood programmes, SHG promotion, artisan development projects or government-sponsored schemes.

2. Familiarity with biometric/face authentication attendance systems, KYC documentation and beneficiary tracking systems.

3. Experience in organizing awareness campaigns, village meetings, counselling sessions and entrepreneurship promotion activities.

4. Mobilise beneficiaries, collect documents for registration ,Online Enrollment process, Conduct Skill development trainings, Identify Resource persons, Venue for training at grassroot level, conduct activities as per annual action plan etc

Roles and Responsibilities :
The Field Assistant-cum-Community Coordinator shall primarily be responsible for grassroots implementation, community outreach and management of field-based training interventions.

Survey and Community Assessment :
- Conduct baseline surveys, socio-economic surveys and community needs assessments in project areas.
- Identify skill gaps, local livelihood opportunities and potential skill development sectors.
- Prepare village profiles, area profiles and resource mapping reports.
- Identify potential training locations and assess feasibility for establishment of field training centres.

Beneficiary Identification and Mobilization:
- Identify prospective beneficiaries, including unemployed youth, women, artisans, SHG members and marginalized communities.
- Mobilize eligible candidates for enrolment in various JSS training programmes.
- Conduct door-to-door campaigns, village meetings, counselling sessions and awareness programmes.
- Facilitate beneficiary online registration and admission processes.

Training Centre Management :
- Assist in establishment and day-to-day management of field training centres.
- Arrange suitable training venues, seating arrangements, equipment and other required resources.
- Coordinate with trainers, master trainers and resource persons and facilitate their engagement.
- Ensure smooth conduct of training activities.

Beneficiary Documentation and Compliance
- Collect and verify KYC documents of beneficiaries.
- Facilitate Aadhaar-based or Face Authentication Attendance Systems as prescribed.
- Maintain enrolment records, attendance registers, progress sheets and beneficiary databases.
- Ensure timely submission of reports and compliance documentation.

Community Outreach and SHG Promotion
- Organize community awareness campaigns, exhibitions, outreach events and skill promotion activities.
- Facilitate formation and strengthening of Self Help Groups (SHGs).
- Support SHG-based income generation activities and livelihood initiatives.
- Assist in preparation and issuance of Artisan Identity Cards and related documentation.

Employment, Entrepreneurship and Follow-up Support :
- Identify employment opportunities suitable for trained beneficiaries.
- Facilitate linkages with employers, local enterprises, markets and financial institutions.
- Identify prospective entrepreneurs among trained beneficiaries and provide handholding support.
- Track placement, self-employment and enterprise outcomes.

Documentation and Reporting :
- Prepare village-wise and activity-wise reports.
- Document best practices, case studies and success stories.
- Maintain photographic documentation and beneficiary testimonials.
- Submit weekly and monthly progress reports to the Programme Coordinator and Director.

General Responsibilities :
- Undertake extensive field travel in rural and remote areas using own two-wheeler.
- Work six days a week and remain available for field assignments as per institutional requirements.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Director/Chairperson from time to time in the interest of the Institution.
- Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality and commitment towards the objectives of NGO.

Selection Procedure: Shortlisted candidates may be called for:
- Field Aptitude Assessment;
- Personal Interview.

The decision of NGO shall be final and binding in all matters relating to engagement and selection.
