Position Overview:
WORD is looking for a skilled and reliable accountant to manage financial records, maintain accounts for the projects and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
The Accountant will play a important role in budgeting, financial reporting supporting financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities :
1. Accounting and Book Keeping : Maintain Day - to - Day accounts, ledgers, Cash books and vouchers.
2. Budget Management : Assist in preparing budgets, tracking expenditures and ensure spending aligns with financial plans.
3. Reporting : Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, balance sheets and reports.
4. Compliance : Ensure adherence to statutory requirements .
5. Audit Support : Coordinate with internal and external auditors, prepare documentation and respond to queries.
6.Bank Transactions : Handle bank reconciliation, prepare cheques, maintain petty cash.
7.Coordination : Work closely with project team for project coordination and financial activities.

Required Qualification:
1. Educational Qualification : Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Master's in Commerce(M.Com) with specialization in Accounts and Finance.
2.Experience : Minimum 3 Years Experience in accounting preferably in NGOs.
3. Familiarity with accounting software such as Tally.

Technical Skills:
Strong Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and financial statements.
Proficiency in MS Excel.
Knowledge of statutory compliance

Soft Skills:
Attention to detail, integrity and ability to work independently

Language Skills :
Ability to work in English and Odia

Compensation:
Around Rs.25,000/- to Rs.30,000- per month. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
