Duty Station

• Working Area: FPC Operational Clusters Under The Honey Value Chain Programme Across Jharkhand

Purpose of the Position
To manage the procurement, aggregation, quality assurance, storage, and traceability of honey produced by beneficiary beekeepers (bee box owners), shareholder farmers, and wild honey collected by honey hunters, ensuring timely payments and compliance with approved Procurement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and manage the procurement of apiary honey and wild honey from shareholder farmers and honey hunters.
• Coordinate with beekeepers, honey hunters, Block Coordinators (BCs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and FPC staff for procurement and aggregation activities.
• Ensure procurement is carried out in accordance with approved SOPs, quality standards, and procurement policies.
• Manage honey aggregation at Rural Service Centres (RSCs) and maintain accurate stock records.
• Facilitate honey sampling, quality testing, traceability, and quality assurance processes.
• Maintain procurement MIS, procurement registers, payment records, stock registers, and all supporting documentation.
• Coordinate transportation, storage, logistics, and overall supply chain operations.
• Verify procurement records and ensure timely payments to shareholder farmers, beekeepers, and honey hunters.
• Conduct training and awareness programmes on scientific beekeeping, quality honey production, and sustainable wild honey harvesting practices.
• Identify potential flora development areas and honey production clusters for enhancing honey production.
• Identify interstate and intrastate migratory beekeeping sites and coordinate migration planning for improved honey yield.
• Prepare periodic procurement reports and support overall procurement planning for the Honey Value Chain Programme.
