Introduction
Magic Bus India Foundation, in collaboration with the Panchasakha Sikhya Setu and Department of School and Mass Education, Government of Odisha, is integrating Life skills through Aspirational curriculum across the state. This program aims to integrate Life skills as part of their Aspirational curriculum program in Odisha across all the schools in the classes 9th and 10th grades.

Under this initiative, trained teachers will deliver life skills sessions to students in government schools. The program focuses on various aspects of life skills development and will be implemented in partnership with the Department of School and Mass Education.
Magic Bus India Foundation will provide technical support to the department in effectively executing the program. This support includes the development of training materials and curriculum for life skills, establishing a group of expert trainers, enhancing the capacities of teachers, and providing ongoing guidance and supervision through the existing government system.

Brief:
The Programme Support Officer/s will be responsible for the following.
1. Ensuring effective implementation of the program in one’s designated district/s.
2. Ensuring completion of all activities as per the program implementation plan agreed with the government.
3. Participating in training activities including master trainers training and co facilitating teacher trainings with master trainers.
4. Undertaking government liaison activities at cluster, block and district level.
5. Coordinating regularly with the district education office towards ensuring regular monitoring, reporting and review of the program.
6. Formation of resource groups at district and block level and building their capacity on lifeskills and the program structure.

Responsibilities:
1. Ensure effective implementation of the program on field.
2. Participate in master trainers training program conducted by Magic Bus.
3. Co-facilitate teacher trainings along with master trainers at the district level.
4. Liaison and coordinate with the district education department for their guidance, permission/approvals as necessary and ensuring government engagement in various activities.
5. Provide handholding and mentoring support to the school teachers in effective program delivery to the children in coordination with the district monitoring team/committee.
6. Supervise and support any community connect activities as might be undertaken as per the program implementation plan.
7. Keeping oneself updated on all the developments in safety rules, regulation child rights and protection and ensuring its integration in programs
8. Facilitate/organize/participate in events, visits as required
9. Report monitoring visit in internal application.

Desired Competencies:
1. Relationship building with district government department.
2. Relationship building and management with teachers and heads of school in the allocated field area.
3. Collecting and maintaining data on the overall field intervention and reporting as required

Qualification:
1. Graduate in social sciences, rural development, etc.
2. Minimum 5/6 years of work experience in the social sector
3. Good communications and facilitation skills are required.
4. Must have solid ground/ field job experience.
5. Fluent in the local language. Additionally, local dialect knowledge will be appreciated.
6. Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working with teachers, government departments, particularly education department
