Nari Gunjan (Women’s Voice), founded in 1987 under the leadership of Padmashree awardee Sudha Varghese, is a non-profit organization based in Patna, Bihar. The organization has been working extensively with the Musahar community, focusing on women’s economic empowerment, education, and health. In collaboration with an international agency, Nari Gunjan is implementing a project to mainstream out-of-school children across 5 blocks named Punpun, Bihta, Phulwarisharif, Danapur, Marhaura covering. The Mobile Learning Resource Centre initiative is a unique intervention which is used to create mass scale awareness and reaching out to targeted groups and community. This programme aims to ensure girls are mainstreamed in government schools.

Role Purpose
The Project Coordinator will lead the overall planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the Sampoorna Utthaan Programme. The role requires strong coordination skills to integrate nutrition, sports, and livelihood components, ensuring effective delivery of project objectives and meaningful impact on marginalized Musahar communities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Implementation
• Develop detailed monthly and quarterly work plans aligned with project objectives.
• Coordinate implementation of nutrition, sports, and livelihood activities across 10 villages.
• Ensure timely execution of interventions such as nutrition supplementation, youth sports groups, livelihood training, and health camps.

2. Monitoring & Evaluation
• Oversee structured monitoring systems including:
• Nutrition and health records of children and adolescent girls.
• Attendance and participation in youth sports activities.
• Skill training completion and livelihood income tracking.
• Conduct baseline, midline, and endline assessments to measure project impact.
• Prepare quarterly review notes and ensure corrective actions where needed.

3. Stakeholder & Community Engagement
• Mobilize and strengthen community groups including youth groups and women livelihood groups.
• Facilitate convergence with government schemes (nutrition, health, livelihood).
• Engage local leaders, schools, and health workers to support project activities.
• Promote community ownership and sustainability through participatory approaches.

4. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of activities, beneficiaries, and outcomes.
• Prepare monthly activity reports, quarterly progress reports, and financial utilization reports.
• Document success stories, case studies, and lessons learned for donor communication.

5. Team Coordination
• Supervise and guide Community Mobilizers and project staff.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review progress and resolve challenges.
• Build staff capacity through training and mentoring.

Qualifications & Experience
• Graduate/Postgraduate in Social Work, Rural Development, Public Health, or related fields.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in CSR/community development projects.
• Experience working with marginalized communities, especially in Bihar, is desirable.
• Strong skills in planning, monitoring, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to prepare structured reports.
• Good communication skills in Hindi and English.

• Improvement in nutritional status of 200 children and 100 adolescent girls.

• Skill training and livelihood support provided to 100 women, with at least 10 starting enterprises.
• Timely submission of reports and documentation.
• Effective coordination with stakeholders and government schemes.

Remuneration
The position carries an honorarium of ?15,000 per month along with a travel allowance of ?3,000 per month, recognizing both the teaching responsibilities and the need for mobility in fulfilling project objectives.
