Position/Role: District Coordinator (Prayagraj)
About the Role
The District Coordinator will manage the day-to-day coordination and implementation of the programme at the district level. This professional will work closely with principals, teachers, school management, field associates, and the Delhi programme team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working within the school system, managing field teams, and converting project plans into practical school-level activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate implementation across assigned schools and school clusters.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with principals, teachers,and school management.
- Prepare school visit and activity schedules in coordination with field teams.
- Lead and support Training of Trainers (ToT) and teacher orientation programmes.
- Train, mentor, and supervise Field/ Education Associates.
- Support the implementation of climate, environmental, WASH, health, hygiene, and sustainability activities.
- Coordinate the formation and daily functioning of school-level climate and sustainability clubs.
- Support baseline, monitoring, and endline data collection.
- Identify implementation challenges and resolve them in consultation with the Programme Coordinator.
- Coordinate with district-level education stakeholders and relevant institutions.
- Prepare regular district-level progress reports.
- Support community outreach and school-community engagement activities.
Desired Profiles:
- Education: Postgraduate or graduate degree in Education, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: 5–8 years in education, school programmes, NGO/ development initiatives, teacher training, or community-based programmes.
- Field Leadership: Experience managing field teams and working directly with school leadership (principals and teachers) is highly desirable.
- Training Skills: Proven experience conducting ToTs, workshops, or formal training sessions.
- Language: Proficiency in both English and Hindi is essential.
- Travel: Comfortable with frequent travel within the assigned district and surrounding areas.
Location : Prayagraj (also covering Kaushambi)
Position level : Mid-Senior Level
Experience : Preferably 5-8 years
Remuneration : Commensurate with experience
