BJUP works to empower marginalized communities by strengthening their skills, knowledge and capacities and enabling them to participate in decisions affecting their lives. Its programmes address poverty, discrimination, education, health, livelihood, protection and basic human rights through sustainable, rights-based approaches. BJUP works collaboratively with Government Departments, national and international development organisations, civil society organisations, CSR institutions and other stakeholders to promote inclusion, social equality and social justice. The organisation maintains high standards of transparency, accountability and responsible utilisation of resources.
Position Overview: Case Support Officer - After Care
BJUP is looking for a compassionate and committed professional to provide intensive case-management, rehabilitation and after-care support to individuals and families affected by bonded labour and related forms of exploitation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare individual rehabilitation and after-care plans and conduct household and vulnerability assessments.
• Undertake regular home visits and beneficiary follow-up.
• Link individuals and families with social-security schemes, livelihood, health, education and documentation services.
• Monitor risks of re-bondage, exploitation or migration-related vulnerability.
• Coordinate referrals with relevant institutions and service providers and provide survivor- and family-centred support.
• Maintain confidential case files, follow-up records and programme MIS.
• Coordinate closely with Field Coordinators and programme management.
Location: Nalanda, Bihar (1 Post) Compensation: Rs. 25,000-Rs. 30,000 per month, depending upon experience, knowledge and suitability.
Qualifications:
• Graduate/Postgraduate in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counselling, Development Studies or a related discipline.
• Preferably 2-4 years of relevant experience in case management, survivor/victim support, rehabilitation, trafficking, child protection, migration or social-protection programmes.
• Strong interpersonal, counselling and case-follow-up skills.
• Understanding of government welfare and social-security schemes.
• Ability to work sensitively with vulnerable individuals and families and undertake frequent household and field visits.
• Good documentation and record-maintenance skills.
