Role Description - The Finance Head will lead the end-to-end financial management of the Skills Root Group, ensuring robust financial systems, compliance, and reporting across all projects and entities. This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on core accounting, books finalisation, statutory compliance, and fund management, particularly in the context of Government-funded and CSR-supported programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage end-to-end accounting operations.
• Finalisation of books of accounts, including preparation of financial statements
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory compliances (TDS, GST, PF, ESI, Income Tax, etc.)
• Manage fund accounting and utilization tracking for Government and CSR-funded projects
• Coordinate and lead audits, ensuring complete documentation and audit readiness
• Develop and strengthen financial controls, SOPs, and reporting systems
• Monitor cash flows, budgeting, and financial planning across projects
• Liaise with banks, auditors, government authorities, and funding partners
• Support leadership with financial insights, MIS, and decision-making inputs
Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field / CA Inter / CA
• Minimum 5 Years Experience in Finance and Accounting in Social Sector
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Can start immediately
