Position: SRO Officer / SRO Manager
Grade: Asst VP/ Dy. VP (depending on the experience and qualification)
Department: Self-Regulatory Organisation (SRO)
Reporting to: Vice President – SRO
Location: New Delhi
Job Description/Responsibilities:
• SRO Compliance and Monitoring: Support the implementation and monitoring of the SRO framework, guidelines, Code of Conduct, and applicable regulatory requirements for Sa-Dhan members.
• SRO Reporting: Preparing periodic SRO reports, for RBI required by management, the SRO Committee, and relevant stakeholders.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, validate, consolidate, and analyse member-level and sector-level data to identify trends, exceptions, compliance issues, and emerging concerns.
• Regulatory Updates: Track RBI and other relevant regulatory circulars, notifications, guidelines, and developments applicable to the microfinance and financial inclusion sector and support dissemination of relevant information to members.
• Advisories and Communications: Assist in preparing SRO advisories, circulars, compliance communications, FAQs, guidance notes, and other member communications based on regulatory and sectoral developments.
• Credit Information Bureau (CIB) Coordination: Coordinate with Credit Information Companies/Bureaus and member institutions on issues relating to credit information, data quality, reporting, borrower indebtedness, and other CIB-related matters.
• Studies and Analytical Notes: Assist in conducting sectoral studies, thematic research, prepare analytical notes, and issue-based assessments relating to SRO, microfinance, financial inclusion, customer protection, and regulatory matters.
• Other related work in SRO vertical
Qualification and Skills Required:
• Graduate with experience or Postgraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Management, Public Policy, Development Studies, or a related discipline.
• Company secretary / Chartered Accountancy (Foundation) could also be considered if found suitable
• 3–7 years of relevant work experience, preferably in microfinance, banking, NBFCs in regulatory compliance, research, industry associations.
• Good understanding of the microfinance sector, SRO framework, regulatory compliance, and customer protection would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of RBI regulations and guidelines applicable to microfinance/NBFCs and related regulatory developments.
• Experience in data collection, analysis, MIS preparation, report writing, and documentation.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and other data-analysis/reporting tools.
• Ability to prepare professional reports, presentations, analytical notes, and dashboards.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to undertake field visits and travel as required.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Remuneration:
As per qualification and experience, comparable to the industry.
