Project: End TB in Indian Children
Position- Project Coordinator
Location- Chennai-1
• The Project Coordinator will be based at the allotted project site and will work closely with the Project Manager and local NTEP officials.
• The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the effective implementation, coordination, monitoring, and documentation of all on-ground project activities at the assigned project site.
• The position requires close coordination with project staff, healthcare facilities, NTEP officials, community stakeholders, and other relevant partners to ensure the achievement of project deliverables.

About End TB in Indian Children Project
Diagnosis of TB in children can be challenging, and obtaining adequate respiratory samples, particularly from young children. SHARE INDIA, in collaboration with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), aims to support NTEP efforts to enhance childhood TB detection through the “End TB in Indian Children” project.The project will be implemented across selected 3 cities of India (Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Program Planning and Management:
The Project Coordinator will:
a. Support the project team on a regular basis and prepare micro-activity plans for strengthening and implementing project activities.
b. Plan and coordinate activities including:
• Participant enrolment and consenting
• Participant education and counselling
• Sputum/sample collection as per NTEP guidelines
• Coordination for Chest X-rays (CXR)
• Diagnostic referrals and linkages
• Linkage of diagnosed TB patients to appropriate TB treatment services
• Follow-up of participants and referrals
• Other activities required for smooth implementation of the project at priority sites
c. Provide technical and managerial support to the project team on various technical and operational aspects of the project.
d. Contribute to the development and strengthening of internal reporting systems.
e. Prepare and support the development of:
• Detailed implementation plans
• Monthly work plans
• Quarterly work plans
• Annual work plans
• Narrative reports
• Financial reports
• Other project-related reports and documents
f. Assist in annual budgeting and related planning exercises, as required.
g. Participate in and contribute to project-related meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
h. Provide necessary support to the Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
2. Capacity Development and Training:
The Project Coordinator will:
a. Support and strengthen the knowledge and skills of the project team regarding screening and testing, TEP diagnostic and treatment protocols, Child-friendly sample collection and testing,TB treatment and prevention, Referral mechanisms,Linkages to TB treatment services, Follow-up and management of beneficiaries
d. Identify training needs and provide appropriate technical support to project staff.
e. Assist in the preparation and development of:
• Training materials
• Training modules
• Job aids and other tools as required by the project
3. Program Monitoring, Supervision and Feedback
The Project Coordinator will:
• Conduct regular supervisory visits to project sites and facilities to monitor implementation of project activities.
• Provide technical guidance and on-site support to project staff whenever required.
• Conduct and/or participate in routine project staff meetings.
• Review progress against planned activities, identify gaps and challenges, and facilitate corrective actions.
• Regularly update SHARE INDIA senior management and CDC regarding the status and progress of project implementation.
• Participate in meetings with the CDC and SHARE INDIA teams.
• Implement recommendations and suggestions provided by the CDC and SHARE INDIA teams.
• Support and facilitate visits of SHARE INDIA and CDC representatives to project sites and participating facilities.
4. Coordination, Representation and Advocacy
The Project Coordinator will:
a. Establish and maintain effective coordination with Project Manager/Senior Project Manager SHARE INDIA project team &NTEP officials
b. Promote collaboration and synergy between the project and existing NTEP activities.
c. Interact with and build professional relationships with senior government and health officials.
d. Liaise with representatives of the medical fraternity and relevant healthcare institutions.
e. Establish and strengthen linkages with potential partner centres and facilities to enhance project implementation.
f. Represent the project in relevant meetings, workshops, consultations, and stakeholder forums, as delegated by the Project Manager.
5. Documentation and Reporting
The Project Coordinator will:
a. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of project activities and achievements.
b. Collect, compile, review, and submit regular reports from project sites and participating facilities.
c. Document good practices, innovations, lessons learned, and success stories from project implementation.
d. Ensure timely submission of periodic reports to SHARE INDIA/CDC/Local NTEP
e. Maintain appropriate project records, databases, monitoring reports, meeting records, and other relevant documentation.
f. Ensure the quality, completeness, and accuracy of project data and reports.
Required Qualification & Experience:
• Master’s degree in social work (MSW) or Public Health (MPH).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the development sector, preferably in the health sector.
• Experience in Tuberculosis (TB) programs will be desirable.

Compensation Offered:
The remuneration budgeted for this position is competitive. The compensation offered will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, skills, and last drawn salary, subject to the organisation’s applicable policies.
