YRGMERF is anticipating a project to strengthen the Urban Ecosystem Against Future Disease Threats by implementing a framework for urban-peri-urban coordination. This project if commissioned will require a team of below positions to support the coordination, implementation and monitoring of several components.
Key Responsibilities
The Program Associate will be responsible for supporting the project activities in coordination with stakeholders. Will report to City Coordinator based in Bengaluru. Will work closely with other team members.
Project Implementation Support
- Will be responsible to ensure that the staff are in the project are oriented on their duties and provided necessary guidance to carry out day to day tasks, reporting in designated formats.
- Ensures that the baseline using secondary sources is completed on time and the report is prepared,
- Ensures the monthly deliverables are compiled in coordination with project staff, supports in preparation of technical brief by designing them, reviewing the contents and languages, supports in translation if any required.
- Ensures field visit reports are compiled in a timely manner and shared with city coordinator and project lead for review, final submission and archiving is the key responsibility.
- Ensures that the review meetings, stakeholder meetings and on-line discussions are reported and reviewed for final sharing.
- Supports in field documentation, testimonial videos and other documentation related work by planning them in advance, ensuring the plan is consulted with the stakeholders and donor. Supports in procurement and orientation of the resources if any, monitoring of the deliverables and timely completion.
- Supports in preparing monthly and quarterly workplan in coordination with field team, ensures monitoring the progress and regular weekly updates with the State and National team.
- Ensures preparation of required documents for submission to the stakeholders and donor.

Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor in support of project objectives.

Desirable Attributes
Qualifications and Experience
Masters in Social Studies, or Population Studies with minimum 3 years' experience in managing documentation, project management in Karnataka under NUHM, Urban Health, Disease Surveillance, One Health Activities, National Vector Borne Control Program. Preference will be given to local candidates who understands and have worked in Karnataka Health Systems.
