About the Role
The Program Officer will be responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring, documentation, and coordination of project activities under the Good School/Village Project. The role requires close engagement with communities, government stakeholders, schools, frontline workers, and partner organizations to ensure effective project delivery and achievement of project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation
- Plan and implement project activities as per approved project plans and timelines.
- Conduct baseline surveys, beneficiary identification, and line listing activities.
- Identify and coordinate with resource persons for training sessions, workshops, and community activities.
- Ensure smooth execution of field-level interventions.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of project activities and outputs.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual project reports.
- Document case studies, success stories, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Support data collection, analysis, and reporting requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government schools, education officials, health departments, local authorities, and community stakeholders.
- Coordinate with like-minded NGOs and community-based organizations.
- Engage with frontline workers and local leaders to strengthen community participation.
Field Operations Management
- Manage field arrangements and logistics for project activities.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers as required.
- Support supervision and coordination of field teams.
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with the Head Office team to ensure effective project implementation.
- Participate in review meetings and contribute to project planning and strategy discussions.
- Share regular updates and field insights with project leadership.
Sustainability and Community Engagement
- Map local resources and opportunities that can support long-term sustainability of project interventions.
- Facilitate community ownership and participation in project activities.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or higher qualification in a relevant discipline.
- 4–5 years of experience in program management, preferably in the social development or NGO sector.
- Experience working with education, community development, health, or child-focused programs will be preferred.

- Ownership of a two-wheeler and willingness to travel extensively within project areas.
- Experience working with government departments and community-based stakeholders.
- Familiarity with local communities and development challenges in the assigned district.
