Job Summary:
The District Coordinator will implement the project activities and monitor the activities at the district level, ensuring alignment with project goals. The role involves team management, stakeholder engagement, financial oversight, and reporting while maintaining compliance with the organisation's policies.

Essential Requirement:
• Master’s Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, or other related fields.
• 4-5 years’ progressive experience in the Health and Nutrition sector, including demonstrated ability in program/project management in the area of MCH, Adolescent health and nutrition.
• Understanding of programme and policies and their implications in a gender and rights-based approach
• Excellent Odia, Hindi, and English communication skills.
• Experience in project data management with monitoring, evaluation, and documentation skills is essential
• Willingness to travel regularly to the project sites.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support the district team in executing project activities as per approved plans.
• Implement community-based interventions and adapt project strategies based on ground realities, within budgetary and organizational guidelines.
• Conduct field visits to monitor progress, provide mentoring, and ensure quality implementation.

Team Leadership & HR Supervision:
• Recruit, train, and manage field staff within delegated authority.
• Assign tasks, resolve conflicts, and address performance issues within the team.
• Ensure effective coordination between field staff, monitoring teams, and finance units.

Financial & Operational Oversight:
• Manage district-level expenditures within approved budgets.
• Facilitate procurement and resource allocation as per project needs.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and the timely settlement of accounts.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy:
• Represent the NGO in meetings with government departments (e.g., Social Welfare, Health), donors, and civil society partners.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with local authorities and community stakeholders.
• Advocate for project objectives at the district level.
• Negotiating collaborations within the project mandate.

Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance:
• Prepare and submit periodic reports (monthly/quarterly), including MIS updates.
• Document case studies and success stories for organizational learning.
• Address compliance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the head office.
• Any other work assigned by the reporting manager

Skills :
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication (local language proficiency required).
• Proficiency in report writing.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong User-Intersection skills and coordination skills
• Ability to work in a team and good interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the block.

The District Coordinators' salary would range between INR 30000/- to 35000/- per month, depending on the experience.
