Do you wish to work for a UN Agency focusing on migration and would like to make a meaningful contribution to innovative initiatives that improve the lives of migrants and communities? We are seeking motivated interns to join our project team and contribute to a range of essential programme support functions. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data enumeration, operational coordination, documentation management, and routine quality assurance activities. Interns will work closely with project staff to support the implementation and reporting of project activities while developing valuable professional skills in a dynamic and impactful environment.
IOM India is in search of qualified interns to support project implementation and programme management activities across a range of thematic areas. Selected interns will assist in data collection and enumeration, coordination of operational processes, maintenance of project documentation and records, preparation of reports and presentations, and routine quality assurance and monitoring activities. The role will provide practical exposure to project operations, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision making within a multicultural and mission-driven environment.
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Office and direct supervision of the National Project Officer, and technical guidance from the Senior Project Assistant (IOM India), the internship offers a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience of the work of IOM UN Migration, strengthen professional competencies, and contribute to the successful delivery of programmes. Candidates who are proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to learning are encouraged to apply.
Education:
- Master’s degree from a recognised university or institution
- Graduates from a recognized university or institution with two years’ work experience
Skills:
- Basic computer proficiency, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and MS Office Applications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong documentation and organizational abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling data
- Ability to manage multiple operational tasks within timelines
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Languages:
- English (Fluent)
- Kannada, Tamil (Desirable)
