Program Associate – Pehchaan Program
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat (Travel across program districts required)

Salary: Rs 35,000 per month

About Pehchaan
Pehchaan is a youth leadership and citizenship initiative that works with young people from diverse social backgrounds to strengthen constitutional values, social justice, leadership, community engagement, and active citizenship. The program supports youth in becoming change-makers in their communities through training, collective action, dialogue, and grassroots initiatives.
Position Summary
The Program Associate will play a key role in coordinating and implementing program activities across districts, supporting youth facilitators, documenting impact, and ensuring smooth execution of trainings, events, and community initiatives. The position requires strong organisational skills, field engagement, documentation abilities (qualitative and quantitative forms), and a commitment to working with youth and communities

Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and coordination of Pehchaan program activities across districts.
Build and maintain relationships with youth leaders, facilitators, community stakeholders, and partner organizations.
Mentor and support youth facilitators in planning and implementing community-based initiatives.
Facilitate learning sessions, workshops, discussions, and youth engagement activities when required.
Encourage youth participation in leadership development, civic engagement, and community action processes.
Collect, manage, and analyse qualitative and quantitative program data.
Prepare reports, case studies, success stories, meeting minutes, and other program documentation.
Support monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes and maintain accurate program records.
Coordinate logistics, communication, and resource arrangements for trainings, events, and workshops.
Assist in the development of presentations, training materials, and communication content.
Travel across program locations as required and provide on-ground support to program activities.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Sociology, Political Science, Education, Rural Development, or related fields.
1–3 years of experience in youth development, community mobilisation, leadership development, monitoring, and management of MIS.
Fresh graduates with strong internship or volunteer experience may also apply.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong commitment to social justice, constitutional values, and youth empowerment.
Excellent communication skills. Knowing Gujarati is a plus.
Good facilitation and group engagement skills.
Strong writing and documentation abilities.
Ability to travel extensively across working areas.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace and knowledge of tools for MIS.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with youth collectives, community organizations, or grassroots initiatives.
Experience in conducting training, workshops, or community mobilisation activities.
Knowledge of issues related to citizenship, democracy, social inclusion, gender, caste, and constitutional rights.
