YRGMERF is anticipating a project to strengthen the Urban Ecosystem Against Future Disease Threats by implementing a framework for urban-peri-urban coordination. This project if commissioned will require a team of below positions to support the coordination, implementation and monitoring of several components.
Key Responsibilities
The Technical Experts will provide mentoring and supportive supervision to DISHA cluster units, ensuring the effective implementation of the National AIDS Control Program (NACP) V. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in public health, particularly in HIV/AIDS programs, and possess strong mentoring and supervisory skills..
Mentoring and Supervision:
- Based at the cluster level, provide mentoring support to 4 to 5 DISHA cluster units or DISHA single units.
- Conduct monthly visits to all assigned DISHA units to provide on-site mentoring and supportive supervision.
- Provide evidence-based technical guidance on all components of NACP V to the DISHA units.
Coordination and Collaboration:
- Strengthen coordination with allied health departments at the district level (NHM, NTEP, NVHCP) for enhanced referral linkages.
- Make field visits to NACP facilities along with DISHA staff for supportive supervision and capacity building.
Reporting and Data Quality:
- Ensure the timely and quality submission of monthly reports for DISHA.
- Verify data reported by at least 3 facilities per district each month and provide inputs to ensure data quality.
Guidance and Capacity Building:
- Guide the DISHA team on advocacy, stakeholder coordination, and coordination with other departments in the district.
- Assist DISHA in developing district profiles, integrated action plans, and DISHA-specific IEC materials.
- Orient and ensure optimal implementation of all component activities as per NACP V in the district/DISHA cluster.
Implementation of Strategies:
- Guide DISHA units on implementing new strategies of NACP V, such as CSS, SSS, SOA, use of virtual media, APN, index case, etc.
- Provide component-wise inputs and guidance to enhance the overall performance of DISHA units.
Performance Improvement:
- Responsible for periodical improvement in the 95-95-95 performance targets of the DISHA cluster.
Field Visits:
- Conduct field visits for a minimum of 20 days per month to provide on-site support and supervision.
Requirements
Desirable Attributes
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Public Health, Humanities, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public health projects, particularly in HIV/AIDS programs.
Strong understanding of NACP V and public health systems.
- Excellent mentoring, supervisory, and capacity-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to travel extensively within the assigned region.
